Jay has taken a beating in the press following the NFC championship. His play was mediocre and he just seemed disinterested. When it comes down to it, we went from Rex Grossman to Kyle Orton back to a high priced version of Rex Grossman.... a wildly inconsistent QB. I still maintain that it was a huge mistake to trade Orton. But how much of this is coaching? Why is it that the Bears just can't seem to develop talent? Finally, when you looked at Jay on the sideline, seemingly disinterested.... not in obvious pain....so much at stake, is it just me or did anyone else contrast that scene with McMahon back in '84 vs the Vikings, pacing the sidelines driving Ditka crazy, begging to be put in after spending several days that week in the hospital for back spasms, then going on come from behind and beat the Vikes? Nah...the scene in this years NFC championship said it all.... The Bears (with a few exceptions like Chris Harris) just didn't want it.... and the Packers did. Time to admit a costly mistake and move on. Trade Jay.
