Stabler

Stabler

The Cutler/Orton tracker is (sadly) updated.  From Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com:

“The hits keep coming for quarterback Jay Cutler. His trio of interceptions gives him 25 on the season, which — according to the Elias Sports Bureau — is the highest total by a non-rookie in his first season with a new team since Ken Stabler threw 28 interceptions for Houston in 1980. And Cutler is only seven interceptions away from setting a new Bears record for most in a season, currently held by Sid Luckman (31 in 1947). Cutler is truly getting worse with every passing game in 2009. (Pun intended.)”1

    Wow. This has got to be the biggest waste of time to put a site up like this….more of a waste of time than me writing this. This site was probably created by some fat @$$ clown who knows d*ck about football because he has never played a down in his life. Probably the same guy who was crying about Oroton to be replaced by Grossman in 2005 and cried for Orton after seeing Griese perform. By no means am I big Jay fan — he has lots to prove, but f*ck man one season….its idiots like you who make us LEGIT fans look bad. Disgusting.

    @Ray,
    For the record, I consider myself to be quite slender. I appreciate your offensive comments, but rather than spew venom through vulgarity-laced tirades (perhaps an offspring of Lee Elia?), instead please try to refute any of the statements made on the site. I don’t claim to be right about everything, I’m happy to point out when I’m wrong (I thought the Bulls should have drafted Beasley over Rose), and I love a debate (hence the website), but if you are going to argue with someone who claims that 1+1 = 2 by saying “No it’s not, because you are fat,” then I’m afraid you will never win in argument. My apologies.

    If you guys are Bear fans then you should be ashamed of yourselves. Have you been watching Kyle ? He’s as average and weak-armed as ever, playing with a great defense and amazing offensive line, not to mention Brandon Marshall et al. Jay Cutler was officially the most pressurized QB in the NFL with tone of the very worst O-lines in the league. Ill prepared receivers of which Hester – a special teamer – is the most ‘veteran’. A terrible OC that had no designed rollouts or scrambling rules in place for a scrambling QB ?

    And you want to throw him under a bus his first year at the Bears with the three stooges running the show ….. ? Yes, he needs to protect the ball more. Peyton Manning threw 28 interceptions one year. He also threw six in one game last year was it ? Not a word said. He’s gone from being a pro bowler to a donut overnight, right ? Too much time on your hands, you could have put up a Fire the management site, but no, piss all over one of the only valuable pieces of property you have …

  4. Dara Quinn Says:

    Just read your ‘facts’. That was enough for me. And comparing Cutler with a future HOFer like Manning (who has had the same OC his whole career) or Brady, system QBs well-established (Brady sucks right now BTW) is pointless. Compare them when he’s been groomed and coached properly. And if you think Eli Manning, Joe Flacco and Jake Delhomme are better than Cutler, good luck clueless ..

    Here here Dara, I agree with pretty much all your comments. People that compare Orton and Cutler should switch hobbies and watch gymnastics instead, because they certainly don’t understand football. I ******* hate fickle bears fans, ******* makes me sick. How about a lets get an offensive line site, or lets give Cutler a big physical #1 wide reciever blog, a boring fire the offensive coordinator page. You’re a d*****bag son. Don’t you know that besides Briggs and a couple other guys, Jay Cutler is the only thing this team has going for it. Where’s your pride son?

    @Dara
    Your comments are well written and you’re right in calling me to task about comparing Cutler to Brady/Manning/etc. For the record, though, I compared Cutler to ALL the quarterbacks in the league and find that he fits in about 16th or so, making him an average quarterback. Orton has an “amazing” offensive line this year but Cutler had one of the very worst lines in the league? I checked, and guys like Clady, Kuper, Hamilton, etc. were there last year protecting Cutler, but he couldn’t scratch out a winning record. Now Cutler has the o-line that Orton had last year and, once again, he can’t scratch out a winning record.

    You say that Cutler is “one of the only valuable pieces of property you have.” If you read the site, I agree! That’s WHY they should trade him – the Bears need SO MUCH MORE than just one piece right now, the smart thing to do is trade get more value back for the single valuable piece. That’s based on the fact that I think Cutler’s perceived value in the football market is significantly better than his actual value on the football field which, as you know, I think is about average at best.
